Velanci Lifetime Warranty & Quality Care
Warranty & Care
At Velanci, we offer a Lifetime Warranty covering workmanship and manufacturing faults under normal wear. This page explains what’s covered, what’s not covered, how to make a claim, and how to care for your jewellery.
Understanding Velanci's Lifetime Warranty
What “Lifetime Warranty” means
Our Lifetime Warranty applies to workmanship and manufacturing faults that affect the structure or function of the item when used under normal conditions. It does not cover changes that occur through general wear, exposure, or accidental damage.
What is covered
Workmanship and manufacturing faults, such as clasp mechanism faults, connection point faults (for example jump rings or connectors), or chain/link failure caused by an assembly or manufacturing defect.
What is not covered
This warranty does not cover plating wear, fading, colour change, tarnish, or surface wear. It also does not cover stone loss, stone damage, or loosened stones. The warranty does not apply to general wear and tear, scratches, dents, snagging, stretching, accidental damage, drops, impacts, crushing, bending, water exposure, sweat, perfume, lotions, hair products, chlorine, saltwater, cleaning chemicals, improper storage, or lack of care. Alterations, resizing, repairs, or modifications by a third party may affect warranty eligibility. Lost or stolen items are not covered.
How to make a warranty claim
To start a claim, please contact us with your order number, clear photos (and a short video if helpful) showing the issue, and a brief description of what happened and when the issue started. If we need the item returned for assessment, we’ll provide return instructions.
Assessment and resolution
Claims are assessed based on the information provided and, where needed, inspection of the item. If a workmanship fault is confirmed, we will offer a repair or replacement. If the same item is no longer available, a similar item of equal value may be provided. If repair or replacement is not possible, we may offer an alternative resolution.
Shipping for warranty claims
If a workmanship fault is confirmed, we will cover return shipping or reimburse a reasonable tracked return cost once verified. If the issue is not covered, return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility.
When to contact us
If a clasp feels loose, a link looks bent, the chain is repeatedly snagging, or a stone appears to be catching on fabric, stop wearing the item and contact us with photos so we can advise the safest next step.
Jewellery Care
Quick care checklist
For best longevity, remove jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping. Avoid contact with perfume, deodorant, lotions, oils, hairspray, and cleaning products. Put jewellery on after skincare and fragrance have fully dried. Store pieces dry and separately.
Wearing and exposure
Water, sweat, chlorine, saltwater, and toiletries can accelerate wear and affect finishes and settings. Taking jewellery off for gym sessions, showers, and swimming helps reduce avoidable damage.
Cleaning
For routine care, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid harsh cleaners, abrasive cloths, chemical dips, steam cleaning, or ultrasonic cleaners unless you are certain the item is suitable, as these can damage finishes and settings.
Storage and travel
Store each piece separately in a dry pouch or jewellery box to prevent tangling and scratching. Keep jewellery away from humid rooms (such as bathrooms). When travelling, use a pouch or compartmented case so items do not rub together.
Clasp and chain tips
When fastening, hold the clasp and the connecting ring rather than pulling the chain tight. When removing, unfasten the clasp instead of pulling the chain over the head where possible. If a chain tangles, avoid yanking; gently loosen knots using two pins or a similar method and take your time.
Stone care note
Stones can loosen or be lost through impact, snagging, or daily wear. Avoid knocking settings on hard surfaces, and remove jewellery during higher-risk activities. Stone loss is not covered under warranty.
